If you weren’t in the pit for Enquire Within at Hammerdown this year, you probably heard it, or at least felt the ground shake.

South East London’s rising metal force Enquire Within brought serious energy to Hammerdown Festival 2025, proving yet again why they’re one of the most exciting acts in the UK underground scene.

Formed in 2016 by guitarist Dan Lewin and drummer Henry Waller, and later joined by Henry’s brother Jacob Waller on vocals, the band has evolved from scrappy newcomers to a seasoned, battle-ready unit delivering crushing grooves and introspective fury.

We caught up with the trio just after their explosive set, where the conversation covered everything from musical influences, to their go-to Meal Deal choices and a particularly harrowing run-in with a Brighton seagull.
